When creating a stand-alone feature class, you must define its spatial reference. The exceptions to the rule are m domains feature classes in the same feature dataset can have different m domains. The default x,y tolerance is 1 mm on the Earth's surface at the point of projection. Enter an x,y tolerance or accept the default value. Edit the coordinate system's parameters and click OK.

Inside the Coordinate Systems folder, drag and drop, or copy and paste, the coordinate systems you use most frequently into the top level of the folder.
